Whether you want to spend more time with your own kids, go white water rafting or just feel like singing more often in the shower, this journal can help you take the first steps towards making it happen.

Let’s give your life a sock audit and look at how your life is running at the moment and then let’s match up mismatched, mislaid and odd aspects of your life so they feel all colour coded and re-united.

Burnout or the feeling of being overwhelmed happens when people reach the end of their tether and is the combination of emotional, psychological and physical exhaustion. It’s the fall out from being over committed and the early warning signs are a sense of work losing its true meaning and perspective, an odd sense of helplessness and despair and a feeling that nothing will bring you happiness or success.

The aim of this journal is to make you feel good about time and how you spend it and to give you the wonderful feeling of satisfaction, control and purpose - the key aspects to enjoying your life.

As teachers, we are very hard on ourselves and tend to focus on what we don’t do or manage to achieve. This journal is the first step to changing this attitude and is a vital key to your success as we begin our journey together.

Being a teacher is one of the most rewarding and enjoyable jobs you’ll ever do in your life but it is also one of the most challenging, frustrating and exhausting.

At the end of each day make a note of your proudest achievement. It can be as small or as big an achievement as you want. At the end of the week look at your "Work- Life Journal" and rate your achievements in order, from 1-7, with 1 being your greatest moment.

Now take your time relaxing and reading through again your chosen moments, enjoy the warm feelings of success, see again the pictures of the smiling faces or personal achievements this week, hear the laughter and voices surrounding you once again and really enjoy the feelings of satisfaction and pleasure this week has brought you– and pat yourself on the back and go and celebrate - you deserve it!

"The Work-Life Journal" is a fun and enormously valuable tool for keeping you supported, on track and moving positively forward on your parenting journey as you regularly record your personal thoughts, experiences and successes.

It is designed to help you wear your party pants and sing in the shower again!
